Christmas Volcano Cider

This is one treat that will guarantee your guests a “hot time in the old town tonight!” at your next Christmas gathering!! The aroma of the ginger, cinnamon and the apples will make your make your home smell like Christmas!

2-4 liters of fresh apple cider or apple juice
2 mulling bags
2-3 cinnamon sticks plus additional ones for presentation
¼ cup brown sugar
1 small to medium chunk of fresh ginger
1 orange peeled
½ a lemon peeled

In a juicer juice the ginger, orange and lemon. Refrigerate.

Pour the cider or apple juice into a large pot and turn the heat on to medium.

Once the cider begins to steam, add the juice mixture, and all the other ingredients.

Simmer for at least one hour on a medium -low heat ( about four on a conventional oven).

Turn the heat down and simmer for an additional thirty minutes on a low heat ( about a three or a two on your dial) the aroma in the house should e most welcoming by this time!!

To serve, label cider into individual cups and serve with a cinnamon stick stir for presentation.
